ZRA strikes again

THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has seized property worth K15 million from Thor Development Limi t ed, a Ndola-bas ed construction company, for allegedly non-remittance of taxes.
ZRA debt recovery unit executed the warrant of distress on the firm in Ndola yesterday.

ZRA corporate communications manager Topsy Sikalinda said yesterday that the authority has seized more than 10 vehicles, office furniture and other equipment to recover the money.

“The Zamb ia Revenue Authority has moved in to execute a warrant of distress on Thor Development Limited for non-payment of taxes,” Mr Sikalinda said.
He said the authority had earlier served a warrant of distress on the construction company but management was not committed to the authority to negotiate for a payment plan.
