ZRA increases border revenue collection

SINCE the adoption of a new approach to dealing with smugglers, the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) has collected K8 billion from various border entry points.
Commissioner General Kingsley Chanda said the authority has continued to increase the number of interception points to curb smuggling.
Mr Chanda said to effectively deal with the vice, ZRA has decentralised its anti-smuggling operations by opening customs enforcement centres in Chipata, Nakonde, Chirundu, Livingstone and Mongu.
