ZDA engages Morocco on Chembe economic zone

THE Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has engaged the Kingdom of Morocco to assist in coming up with a master plan and feasibility study for the development of Chembe Multi-facility Economic Zone (MFEZ).
The Chembe MFEZ was proposed by Government after the traditional leadership of the area allocated land, acquired by the ZDA initially, as land bank to be dispensed to investors who intend to explore investment opportunities.
Responding to a query, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry public relations officer Godfridah Chanda said 962 hectares has been earmarked for the MFEZ or industrial park.
