WASTEFUL Zanaco are certainly out of the Confederation Cup after succumbing to Moroccan side Raja Casablanca’s second-half display in yesterday’s play-off in Lusaka.
“Our chances of qualifying to the group stage are now very slim. It will be a mountain to climb but we have to go and do our best in Casablanca. We lost concentration and we were punished. Raja is a good team and they were tactically superior and focused,” Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba said.
After a barren first-half in this Confederation Cup play-off, Raja drew first blood through Banhalib Mahmoud, who raced with the ball and sent a low shot to the right corner beating goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata in the 68th minute.
