ZAMSTATS readies for August census

THE 2020 census of population and housing will be a different one in a number of aspects compared to the previous five censuses the country has conducted since Zambia’s independence.
This year’s census in August will be the first one to be conducted digitally.
The entire exercise has a staggering budget of K758.2 million, equivalent to US$53.2 million.
Around 40, 000 enumerators will be engaged to collect and transmit data through 45,000 digital devices expected to be procured for the exercise.
