Zambia face Zimbabwe in opener at Victoria Falls

THE Zambia sevens rugby team today start the chase to win the first silverware of the year when they compete at the Victoria Falls Sevens Championship in Zimbabwe.
The tournament has attracted five countries with three fielding two teams apiece.
Zambia, Botswana and hosts Zimbabwe have entered A and B teams while Namibia and Sierra Leone have one each.
This will be the first international tournament that the national sevens team will be competing in this year.
This Group A encounter promises sparks as both teams will be looking to start with a bang.
Zambia, donning a new kit courtesy of R & G Sports Management, will be motivated to teach Zimbabwe a rugby lesson.
Coach Musonda Kaminsa will rely on skipper Israel Kalumba, Guy Lipschitz and Tedious Chipoya for victory.
Nambia and Botswana B are the other teams in the group.
Zambia B, led by captain Trevor Squire, will lock horns with Sierra Leone, Botswana A and Zimbabwe B in Group B.
The two-day tournament ends tomorrow.
