VICE-PRESIDENT Inonge Wina hopes that her being in the country’s second highest office in the last six years has inspired girls to aim for greater things in life despite challenges they may encounter along the way .Mrs Wina, who opted not be considered as President Edgar Lungu’s running-mate in next month’ s polls,says she feels proud to see women in influential positions and wants to see more.She said this recently when she featured on Mongu’ s Radio Liseli.“I always feel good to see women pilots, women engineers and doctors,women can do anything and maybe we can do better than the other gender
[men],” Mrs Wina said.The Vice-President said women are perfectionists who are very good at what they do, which makes them perform well when given leadership positions.Mrs Wina hopes that the country will one day have a female President, a development which will make her very proud.She applauded President Lungu for considering women for various senior government positions, a situation which is inspiring other women to work hard.“This shows that the President believes in women and that they can do what men can do.The way women look at things is not the same way men look at them.A woman is understanding and a problem solver,” the Vice-President said.Mrs Wina said women serving and aspiring for higher office should give the urge to young boys to work even harder because they CLICK TO READ MORE
