Win league title, GBFC urged

ROBINSON KUNDA, Lusaka
ZAMBIA Army commander Lieutenant General Paul Mihova has directed Green Buffaloes to win the Super Division title this year.
Mihova said Buffaloes’ is a big club with a rich football history and players should target the Super Division or Barclays Cup titles.
In a speech read on his behalf by deputy chief of training Richard Mukamanga during Buffaloes elective annual general meeting in Lusaka yesterday, Mihova said the Zambia Army side’s performance in the last two seasons has not been like that of a team with a rich history and pedigree.
Buffaloes have won five league titles with the last being in 1981.
“Partly what may be attributed to the instability of the team was the technical bench as it saw a frequent turnover of coaches. Further, the sudden departure of Mr Patrick Phiri last year left the team in an awkward state,” Mihova said.
