THE Bongwe Barn on Zambezi Road in Lusaka’s Roma township is hosting an anti-Valentine Gig that is being presented by the Rotaract Club of Lusaka. The show starts at 20:00 hours. Charges are K50.

TRINAH Chisanga will be celebrating Valentine’s Eve with family, friends and spouses at the Alliance Francaise in Lusaka. It will be acoustic medleys and a rare touch of poetry. Tickets are K60. The show starts at 18:30 hours and runs up to 21:00 hours.
SATURDAY
THE Frog on Kabelenga Road in Lusaka will have a special salsa night to mark Valentine’s Day.  Some high-level diplomats are expected to attend with comedian Difikoti (Thomas Sipalo) as the master of ceremonies. Charges are pegged at K20.

THE Misty Jazz Restaurant and Café at Levy Mall, corner of Church and Kabelenga roads in Lusaka, is playing host to Zimbabwean-born and award-winning guitarist Berita Khumalo. The show starts at 20:00 hours with charges pegged at K350. It’s strictly for diners.

THE Web on Kafue Road, between Southern Cross Motors and Investrust Bank, is playing host to Ben and Kiki. But before they take to the stage, the house band Nexus will open the show. As a compliment to the patrons, there is a 25 percent off on all bottles of wine and champagne. Additionally, there is a free glass of wine for all the ladies upon arrival (before midnight).

BITTERSWEET Poetry will be holding what they are calling Broken Hearts and Shooting Stars – Valentine’s Show at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. Charges for the show, which starts at 19:00 hours, have been pegged at K50.
SUNDAY
THE Russian Cultural Centre on Freedom Way, Lusaka is having a Valentine’s Day concert featuring live music, poetry and dance performances by local and foreign artistes. The show will run from 14:00 hours to 17:00 hours. Charges are K20.
FEBRUARY 21
JAMAICAN musician Sean Kingston is expected to perform at the Barclays Sports Complex in Lusaka. Local artistes expected to support Sean Kingstone are Mampi, Roberto and Macky II. Charges are K250 for ordinary, K350 for VIP and K500 for VVIP.
