We’re life-savers, says Army chief

ARMY Commander William Sikazwe has assured Zambians not to worry in any way because the defence wing will provide adequate security before, during and after next week’s general election.
Lieutenant General Sikazwe said the decision by President Edgar Lungu to direct the deployment of defence forces to help police maintain law and order in the country is commendable.
The army chief said there was a lot of apprehension among citizens regarding peace ahead of the general election, but that the deployment of soldiers has guaranteed peace in the country.
He urged Zambians to turn out in numbers to cast their ballots on Thursday next week without any fear.
