We expect quality debates in next Parliament session

Dear editor,
I AM appealing to members of Parliament to be serious when they are in the House.
When the National Assembly of Zambia opens again, we want to hear quality and objective questions and contributions from our representatives.
The noise we witnessed in the House in the last session should not be heard again.
If the people who were in Parliament many years ago had been spending most of the time making noise instead of debating issues affecting the people they represented, we wouldn’t have reached this far as a nation.
We have many intelligent MPs in our Parliament, and we expect them to take their duties as our representatives seriously this time around.
There should be no mediocrity in the debates and unnecessary noise from the back-benchers.
