‘Wash your hands with soap’

CHOMBA MUSIKA, Lusaka
FIRST Lady Esther Lungu says there is need to continuously promote the washing of hands with soap in homes and communities because the practice has potential to drastically reduce the high number of children dying from diarrhoeal diseases in Africa.
And Mrs Lungu has commended former first ladies Vera Chiluba-Tembo and Maureen Mwanawasa for their contribution towards the development of the nation.
Mrs Lungu said washing hands with soap can prevent about one out of three episodes of diarrhoeal illnesses and one out of six episodes of respiratory infections such as pneumonia.READ MORE
