THAT Mufulira Wanderers supporters invested their time and energy in abusing Zanaco coach Mumamba Numba last Saturday is very unfortunate.
The uncouth behaviour came 48 hours after President Edgar Lungu’s national address on national values and principles.
It is clear Wanderers supporters have grievances but that should not have led those uncultured supporters to insult late Numba’s wife, Salome, who has nothing to do with the poor performance of the Shinde Stadium outfit.
In view of the uncouth behaviour, Football Association of Zambia should fine Wanderers and ensure that they play their home games without their fans, who should also be banned from following their team for all their away games for the rest of the season.
Such behaviour by Wanderers is unZambian. I hope the ministries of Sports and Religious Affairs could take interest in the matter.
