ZAMBIA’s ambitions of winning a record 12th Mopani Copper Mines Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) Under-20 Championship was yesterday halted by Zimbabwe, who will battle it out with South Africa in the final tomorrow.
“I would like to congratulate my counterpart for the win. Looking at the game, Zimbabwe started on a fast note and we were a bit sluggish and when I look at the goal, it took them [Zimbabwe] a minute to equalise. The second goal also it’s something that we can work on and I think we just gifted Zimbabwe those two goals. Otherwise they put up a good fight,” Zambia coach Charles Bwale said.
Bwale said the team is on the right path and that the future is bright.
