LEADER of Government Business in the House and Vice-President Inonge Wina has characterised the sittings of the 12th National Assembly, which dissolved at midnight yesterday, as insightful, exhilarating and rewarding time.
“Considering the amount of business transacted during this meeting, I can confidently state that the purpose for which the House convened has been achieved.
“As Leader of Government Business in the House and on behalf of His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zambia, Mr Edgar Chagwa Lungu, I wish to thank the Backbenchers for their active involvement in debates and in probing the Executive through questions and motions. I also wish to thank the honourable ministers for enlightening the House and the general public on various issues of national concern through ministerial statements and responding to questions,” Mrs Wina told the Fifth Session of the 12th National Assembly.
