Trade talks cause raise in copper price

PROGRESS in the United States (US)-China trade talks yesterday saw copper, Zambia’s major foreign exchange earner, rising marginally to US$6,220 a tonne after tumbling the previous day.
On Wednesday, copper prices slid to their lowest in a month as computer-driven funds unleashed selling following an options expiry amid disquiet about demand in top metals consumer China, having lost one percent in April.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
