Tobacco plant creates 500 jobs in Chipata

HONE SIAME, Lusaka
IMPERIAL African Tobacco Limited (IATCO) will next year set up a US$150 million tobacco processing factory in Chipata which will create over 500 jobs for local people.

IATCO chairman David Ngoma said in an interview yesterday that the establishment of the factory will have massive spill-over effects to farmers and effectively contribute to the country’s economic development.
Mr Ngoma said 500 direct jobs will be created once the factory is fully functional.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
