IN 2016, Owas Crystal Films and Old Age Productions premiered a movie at Ster Kinekor in Lusaka titled Strictly By Invitation (SBI) featuring almost an entire family – Owas Ray Mwape’s brothers, sisters, wife and son.
The movie, about issues that sometimes grip marriages, was written by Robam Mwape, produced by Adorah Mwape and directed by Owas. It featured Owas, Robam, Clive Mwape, Mercy Mwape, Prudence Mwape, Katongo Mwape, Maxwell Mwape and Adorah Mwape.
“In the movie I [Owas] played a priest, Robam played a lead detective, Adorah was also a detective, Maxwell was playing Michael the man who was about to be convicted, Perpetual played the sister of Michael while Mercy played the sister of the wife of Michael, Clive was a doctor and Prudence a lawyer,” Owas, the patriarchy of this acting family, says.
In the movie, which also featured Webby Chiluba (Kasaka), Huruma Sungula, Poliana Tembo and Hellen Kayuni, Michael Lungu and Catherine are a perfect couple to the eyes of the world until Catherine is found dead with her husband present in the same room, which leads to all hell breaking loose. Questions were being asked on whether Michael had killed his wife or something else more supernatural had occurred.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
