Letter to the Editor

Thank you Wanderers supporters

Dear editor,
IT IS with great joy that I take this opportunity to sincerely thank all Mufulira Wanderers supporters countrywide on the achievement of winning promotion to the elite Zambian football.
This is not a mean achievement and can only come through hard work, which Wanderers supporters rightly applied throughout the Division One Zone Two journey. I vividly recall the day we were officially demoted in Ndola against Zesco United FC.
It was a dark cloud over our town and its people, especially the Wanderers supporters. The feeling had to stay within our hearts for a long time.
Together, we did not relent until November 10 – came our victory.
My heartfelt condolences to the families of all our departed friends during our journey up to here.
As national chairman of the Supporters Society, I whole-heatedly dedicate this victory to all our departed friends.
To the rest of the supporters, I urge you to continue working hard.
The journey is even harder ahead. Let’s double our efforts like always and ensure our stay in the Super League. A big thank you also goes to our club sponsors, Mopani Copper Mines, our club’s executive and the technical team. To our players we say: “You are the best.”
May the good Lord, whom we started the journey with and shall end with, give us more energy to even conquer the Super League.
‘Mpakalitente namu’ Super League.
