Suspect collapses in court

A MAN with an apparent history of high blood pressure (BP) yesterday collapsed while seated in a dock in the Supreme Court immediately after a contempt of court charge he is facing was read out to him.
It was not the first time that Daniel Mwale’s BP supposedly shot up while in court.
Mwale, who is in his 60s, collapsed before a panel of five judges who were presiding over a matter he is charged with contempt of court relating to a judgment passed by the court.
He allegedly questioned the Supreme Court’s judgment in an appeal case involving him, a Mr Gabriel Mtonga, and the Attorney General.
