Support President Lungu, says Luangeni MP

LUANGENI member of Parliament (MP) Charles Zulu has called on people in the area to support President Lungu in next year’s tripartite elections.
Mr Zulu, who is also deputy minister of Energy and Water Development, said President Lungu has provided leadership during this period of economic hardship.
Mr Zulu said this in Luangeni on Saturday when he inspected development projects.
He urged the electorate to register as voters after obtaining national registration cards (NRCs).
He said President Lungu has unified the nation despite the social and economic challenges that the nation is facing.
“All of you who  have not obtained NRCs and voters’ cards, I urge you to register in numbers so that next year you can vote for President Lungu,” Mr Zulu said.
He said no one should be cheated that the current economic challenges have been caused by the Patriotic Front (PF) or President Lungu.
Mr Zulu said low copper prices on the international market have caused the Kwacha to perform badly against the United States (US) dollar and other major convertible currencies.
He said Government is addressing the economic challenges that the country is facing.
He said President Lungu should be given a fresh five-year mandate next year to continue developing the country.
