ZAMBIAN defender Stopilla Sunzu has completed his move from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua to French outfit Lille.
Lille is drilled by Zambia’s 2012 Africa Cup winning coach Herve Renard.
Sunzu’s move has been confirmed by Renard on the club website.
“Sunzu will soon be arriving in France to reinforce our defence. He is currently pushing for his visa,” a brief statement quoting Renard reads.
Sunzu is returning to the French Ligue barely seven months after parting company with demoted FC Sochaux where Renard was at the helm.
Lille are also chasing for the signature of Zambian skipper Rainford Kalaba, who weaves his career for Democratic Republic of Congo side TP Mazembe.
Sunzu was instrumental in Zambia’s triumph at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations co-hosted by Equatorial Guinea and Gabon.
