State urges ‘teamwork’ on swine fever

GOVERNMENT has called on farmers to co-operate with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in implementing measures that will prevent the recurrence of swine fever in the country.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Maxus Ng’onga said this yesterday when he featured on Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation’s TV2 Morning Live programme.
“We are appealing to farmers to work with our ministry in ensuring that the measures put in place to prevent the recurrence and spread of swine fever are adhered to. The ministry is on the ground countrywide to ensure that livestock is protected,” he said.
