State launches redeeming input initiative

E-voucher system

GOVERNMENT has launched the redeeming of inputs programme in five districts on the Copperbelt for effective distribution of farm inputs to farmers through the electronic voucher (e-voucher) system.
The programme was launched in Mpongwe, Masaiti, Ndola, Luanshya and Kitwe and it will soon be rolled out to other districts in the province.
Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet Martine Mtonga said Copperbelt has 102,452 beneficiaries under the Farmer Input Support Programme (FISP) who are already captured and verified on the e-voucher system.
Dr Mtonga said this when he featured on a special programme on Radio Icengelo in Kitwe.
