State hails Zambia, Botswana ties

GOVERNMENT has hailed the bilateral relation that has continued to exist between Zambia and Botswana’s correctional services.
Livingstone district commissioner Omar Munsanje said there are a lot of programmes that were taking place in the two countries’ prisons that needed to be shared.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the bilateral games and cultural exchange between Zambia and Botswana at Busiku grounds in Livingstone yesterday, Munsanje said the main purpose of the games was bonding and promoting friendship beyond borders.
He said that the events were a platform where the two countries can share experiences and best practices.
And speaking at the same event, Zambia Prison southern region assistant commissioner Damian Chiwela said the bilateral games and cultural exchange was meant to foster and promote good neighbourliness between the two countries.
