State completes Zamtel, Indeni, ZSIC studies

GOVERNMENT has completed in-depth studies on the viability of Zamtel, Indeni and Zambia State Insurance Corporation which have provided a blueprint for the turnaround of the companies to reduce their dependency on the treasury.
Secretary to the Treasury Fredson Yamba said the in-depth studies being conducted by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) are aimed at strengthening the financial performance of State-owned enterprises.
Mr Yamba said Government is concerned about the poor performance of some State- owned enterprise and is determined to find a lasting solution to problems hindering their growth and contribution to national economic development.
