GOVERNMENT has allayed fears by some stakeholders in the electoral process that the mobile issuance of national registration cards (NRCs) and voter registration exercise are being conducted in Patriotic Front (PF) strongholds.
Minister of Home Affairs Davies Mwila told Parliament yesterday that there is no need for panic because the voters registration exercise  will even be extended to March next year.
He was responding to Chongwe member of Parliament Sylvia Masebo (PF) who wanted to know the country-wide status of the mobile issuance of NRCs.
He said  currently, the mobile issuance of NRCs has captured a total of 43, 493 people in Lusaka, 9, 576 in Southern Province, 4, 680 in Western Province and 16, 345 in Eastern province.
