State advises on climate change

GOVERNMENT through the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock is committed to ensuring that effects of climate change are dealt with, Muchinga Province permanent secretary Bright Nundwe has said.
Mr Nundwe said yesturday that climate change has negatively affected water levels, crop and livestock production.
“Farmers should be aware of its effects and should take precautions by embarking on cultivating drought-resistant crops,” he said.
Mr Nundwe appealed to farmers in the province to be fully aware of the effects of climate change.
