VARIOUS stakeholders are horrified by the killing of two Patriotic Front (PF) members in Kanyama Township on Friday by suspected United Party for National Development (UPND) cadres and have called for justice. Police have arrested four suspected UPND cadres for allegedly raiding a PF campaign camp and killing the two people. The Human Rights Commission (HRC) has called for punishment of perpetrators of the heinous crime. In a statement yesterday, HRC spokesperson Mweelwa Muleya said it is regrettable that political violence has resulted in deaths. “The horrendous act of depriving the victims of their right to life by mutilating their bodies must be corrected in accordance with the law to end impunity and prevent further criminal acts,” Mr Muleya said.
