SOUTHERN Province Amateur Football Association (SPAFA) chairman Musa Siachingili says Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has proved to be a man of his words by delivering equipment and jerseys to lower division clubs.
Speaking during the handover of kit and jerseys to 32 clubs in Choma on Thursday, Siachingili said the donation will go a long way in easing running costs for teams.
“I want to thank FAZ for fulfilling the promise they made to us. They indicated during the annual general meeting that they will help and we have seen the kit,” he said.
Siachingil also urged FAZ to consider supporting lower division teams financially because most clubs were run by individuals who were using personal money.
He urged FAZ to honour their promise to give lower division clubs K5, 000 each.
And FAZ technical department member Paul Kasonde said the second consignment would be delivered in July this year.
The teams have been getting a set of jerseys and 10 footballs.
