Solar hybrid refrigerators, freezers on cards

AS THE country looks to reduce carbon emissions and ensure energy efficiency, solutions such as solar fridges will be cardinal in mitigating effects of climate change, Southgate Investments has said.
Sales and marketing manager Junaid Musa said in an interview recently that countries world over are innovating solutions that are aimed at reducing carbon emissions and ensure energy efficiency.
Mr Musa said mitigating climate change and power deficits requires concerted effort at household and national levels.
He said Southgate Investments, which is the distributor of electrical Defy products, is in a few weeks’ time launching solar hybrid refrigerators and freezers, which will go a long way in accelerating energy efficiency in the country.
