soccer needs more – Kamanga

GOVERNMENT should invest in football development beyond current support of paying salaries of the head coach, travel costs and allowances for the senior men’s team, says Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga.
And Kamanga says he will establish an academy after leaving Football House to nurture both female and male footballers.
Speaking on Capital FM Talk Leader programme anchored by Frank Mutubila, Kamanga said there is a myth that FAZ wastes tax-payers’ money especially whenever the national team loses.
“There are things that cannot be discussed in public lest we are misunderstood but whenever we lose, people think FAZ wastes tax-payers’ money, and this was more championed by former Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo.
