CHIEF Sinazongwe says the people of Sinazongwe are happy with President Lungu’s style of leadership.
The traditional leader said for the first time he and his subjects have seen commitment to the construction of the Bottom Road.
“You are the first sitting President who has frequently visited Sinazongwe and has shown commitment to ensuring that the three districts – Sinazongwe, Gwembe and Siavonga – are connected. I am suggesting that the road once completed be named as Edgar Lungu Road,” he said.
The chief said the construction of the Bottom Road has been under discussion for many years, even before he became chief.
He was happy that President Lungu has commissioned the road, which will see the three districts connected up to Livingstone.
And Chief Sinazongwe has called for tolerance and forgiveness among Zambians.
The traditional leader said Zambians should embrace reconciliation in accordance with the Word of God.
He thanked President Lungu for visiting Sinazongwe for the third time within a few months.
“You are welcome in this part of the district. We thank you for giving one of our sons an opportunity to serve in your Cabinet.  We wish you God’s guidance,” the chief said.
And President Lungu assured Chief Sinazongwe of Government’s support.
“I am assuring the chief that I am your son and all those who belong to the Patriotic Front (PF) are your children.  Thank you for receiving us well, we need each other,” Mr Lungu said.
He said the PF is in government to serve the masses because they believe Zambia is a bigger family despite different political affiliation.
“I will serve even those who did not vote for me,” he said, stressing that the future of the nation lies in its people.
