THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Sinazongwe is happy with the developmental programmes being implemented in the area and has pledged support to President Lungu and area member of Parliament (MP) Richwell Siamunene in the August 11 tripartite elections.
Constituency chairperson Tenson Mandala, in an interview, told journalists in Sinazongwe that the ruling party under President Lungu’s leadership is assured of an easy victory in the district.
“The PF is the only party that can win an election here because of the developments our district has registered in the last few years under the PF leadership,” Mr Mandala said.
He said the construction of roads, schools, clinics and other infrastructure is an indication that the PF is destined for victory in the upcoming general elections.
Mr Mandala said residents of Sinazongwe appreciate the development projects being undertaken in the area.
He further said the PF is currently receiving a lot of defectors from other political parties.
Mr Mandala said the party’s mobilisation exercise is going on well and there is a good response at the grassroots.
He appealed to the party’s top leadership to assist them with campaign materials to enable them to reach as many would-be voters as possible.
Mr Mandala further urged Mr Siamunene, who is Minister of Defence, to campaign vigorously because people want him back as MP.
He said Mr Siamunene has done a lot for the people of Sinazongwe and it is important he retains the parliamentary seat.
