Sex boosters backfire

TWO Government messengers of Mwansabombwe District Administration office are battling for their lives at Kazembe Rural Health Centre after drinking herbs believed to be aphrodisiacs allegedly administered to them by a 27-year-old man of Chipota village.
And a 23-year-old man of Rupiah village in Chisamba has allegedly raped and murdered his 105-year-old great grandmother after drinking an aphrodisiac.
Police in Mwansabombwe have apprehended the suspect identified as Martin Chikumbi pending investigations.
Luapula Province commissioner of police Malcolm Mulenga said in an interview yesterday that Sebastian Chilufya, 34, of Kafusha village and Jones Mate, 35, of Chansongo village are admitted to Kazembe Rural Health Centre.
“The two took roots to boost their sexual activity and thereafter started complaining of stomach pains and vomiting,” Mr Mulenga said.
He said the incident happened on Wednesday around 11:00 hours at the district commissioner’s office.
“The two are being treated for suspected poisoning,” Mr Mulenga said.
And CHAMBO NGUNI reports that Lackson Simumba allegedly took sex boosters before raping and murdering his great grandmother aged 105, whose name have been withheld.
He said the incident happened last week.
Simumba has been arrested and will appear in court soon.
And a man allegedly beat his 22-year-old wife until she became unconscious on suspicion that she was having an affair.
Mr Mulenga said Evelyn Chikopa of Mukupo village in Mwense was allegedly assaulted by Isaac Ilunga, 35, a Democratic Republic of Congo citizen.
Police have arrested Ilunga.
