‘Sate Sate’ targets 13th league crown

STRIKER Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba is eager to win a record 13th Super Division title this year with Nkana.
Kampamba, who rejoined Nkana on loan from Egyptian side Wadi Degla in June last year, said in an interview in Kitwe yesterday that he will work hard to achieve the feat.
“This season we are looking forward to winning the league as a team and we will work hard.
On my own, I must work extra hard so that I can be where I am supposed to be,” said Kampamba, who was instrumental in leading Nkana to league glory in 2013.
Kampamba said Nkana have a good team capable of dethroning champions Zanaco.
He also said the extending of last season’s top scorer Walter Bwalya’s stay at the club and the arrival of defender Aaron Katebe is a morale booster.
Last month, Bwalya signed a two-year contract while Katebe, formerly of Zanaco, has penned a one-year deal with the Mopani Copper Mines bankrolled outfit.
Kampamba said having quality players at the club will bring competition in the team.
He also said he will not rush into returning to play professional football.
“I am happy to be at Nkana because Nkana is my club, but I am looking forward to going outside. Right now I can’t promise when I will go but I am just waiting for opportunities to come. I am not in a hurry to go because the Bible says everything has got its own time,” Kampamba said.
Kampamba scored five times last season as Nkana finished third with 70 points, two behind second-placed Zesco United while champions Zanaco grabbed 81 points.
