‘Satanism’ scaring Kaoma farmers

RUMOURS of Satanism in farming communities of Kaoma are preventing farmers from enrolling for the e-voucher farmer input support programme (FISP).
Ministry of Agriculture district marketing development officer Howard Halubolya said officers in the district have failed to convince farmers to embrace the e-voucher system.

“Despite Kaoma being identified as a pilot project for the e-voucher last year, the project suffered a number of setbacks such as false accusation of being enrolled into Satanism and late delivery of e-voucher cards to late uploading of cash by the banks,” said Mr Halubolya.
