Sata family to settle dispute amicably

KASEBA

CAROLINE KALOMBE, Lusaka
FORMER President Michael Sata’s family have agreed to settle out of court the dispute over property sharing involving his two youngest children and the administrators of his estate.
Petronella Mpundu, as next friend on behalf of Mukupa Sata and Salome Sata, dragged former First Lady Christine Kaseba to court over the distribution of the late President’s estate.
Ms Mpundu sued Dr Kaseba as first defendant, Mulenga Sata as second defendant, and the Attorney General as the third defendant for alleged lack of transparency in the sharing of both property and money.
In an earlier sitting, High Court judge Petronella Ngulube removed Attorney General Likando Kalaluka from the case on grounds that it is a private issue to be dealt with by the court appointed administrators.
When the case came up for hearing yesterday, the parties told the court that they have decided to settle the matter out of court amicably.
