SA farmers target Zambia

A GROUP of leading South African farmers has placed Zambia as a top priority destination for their investments in the agriculture sector in Africa.
The farmers, who have been organised under the auspices of Agri All Africa (AaA), are focusing on investing in fresh produce which include sugar cane, wheat, maize and soya beans; as well as livestock which include cattle, sheep, goats and chickens.
This is according a statement issued yesterday by press secretary at the Zambian High Commission in Pretoria, Nicky Shabolyo.
Other countries on the AaA client-farmers immediate target list are Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Angola, Mozambique, Malawi, Ivory Coast, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Namibia and Sudan.
