Russia to invest in Zambia, Zimbabwe

NOMSA NKANA, Lusaka
IMPROVED investment climate has motivated Russian mineral fertiliser manufacturing companies to consider setting up bases in Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Uralchem and Uralkali co-owner Dmitry Mazepin said in a statement that the two firms intend to create a hub in the two countries that will directly supply mineral fertilisers to southern Africa, thus boosting sales.
Mr Mazepin said rising commodity prices and dramatic political change in the region have vastly boosted the investment mood in the sector.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
