Roberto’s Amarulah tops Zimbabwe charts

WHEN it first hit the local airwaves late last year, it became an instant favourite and was played at parties and nightclubs in different parts of the country.
Now, hit maker, Roberto’s AmaRulah is occupying the number one slot on the charts of Zimbabwean radio stations, Star FM and Zi FM.
The afro dancehall song has been enjoying massive airplay across the borders on both radio stations for two weeks now.
The AmaRulah video also made its debut on the DSTV music station Channel O, earlier this month and is still enjoying frequent broadcast on the station.
This is no surprise considering the RnB artiste’s knack for churning out catchy tunes that leave his fans hooked such as Good Woman, Love You More and Salaula.
Roberto has also been keeping himself busy while working on the production of two videos.
He shared that one video was simply aimed at describing the beauty of Zambia by showcasing the country’s unique physical features.
The other is a $US10,000 video Roberto is in the process of shooting for his song Dreams, which features one of the most happening Nigerian artistes at the moment, Ricardo Banks as well as General Ozzy.
The song Dreams is basically about people striving to make it in life and leave a mark through their chosen work.
Roberto is also a nominee at this year’s Zambian Music Awards (ZMAs) in the Best Mainstream Male category alongside JK and Chef 187.
This is his sixth nomination, after he was nominated three times in 2013, which was the first anniversary of the ZMAs.
Last year, Roberto was nominated under two ZMA categories and won in both. These were the Best RnB album category for his third studio album My Name Is and the Best Songwriter category.
