‘Riots, economy poles apart’

ALVIN CHIINGA, Lusaka
PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Lusaka Province youth chairperson Kennedy Kamba has urged some opposition political parties not to politicise the riots that have been experienced in Lusaka.
And Mr Kamba has strongly condemned the attacks on foreigners, saying the police should be given time to carry out investigations on who is behind the ritual murders.
Mr Kamba said in an interview that it is not true that poverty has driven people to rise against the government because the party and President Lungu are enjoying maximum support from citizens.
“The PF is enjoying maximum support. The riots in Lusaka that were experienced don’t show that the people are not happy with the government of President Lungu as some frustrated politicians are claiming,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm
