Renard rues Zambia AfCON exit, Guinea Bissau receive complaint

GUINEA Bissau Football Federation has received Zambia’s protest over the ineligibility of goalkeeper Papa Masse Mbaye Fall in last Saturday’s 2017 Gabon Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
And former national team coach Herve Renard is disappointed that the Chipolopolo will miss the 2017 continental showpiece.
Vice-president Johnny Mendes told Radio Jovem in Bissau on Wednesday that Zambia lodged in a protest to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after the match.
Guinea Bissau top Group E with unassailable 10 points, four better than Congo-Brazzaville and Zambia with one game remaining.
The African soccer body gave Guinea Bissau 48 hours to submit supporting documents of the nationality of Mbaye Fall.
