‘Regulate small livestock trade’

SMALL Livestock Association of Zambia (SLAZ) has advised Government to create a robust regulatory framework and strategy on small livestock trade for local and international markets if the sector is to thrive.

Association secretary general Elias Nkhuwa has urged Government to also consider implementing favourable policies to improve trade in livestock products for both local and export markets.

Mr Nkhuwa said small livestock has the potential to generate income and food security for the country and also create jobs for the people.
