THE revelation in the 2016 Auditor General’s report concerning misapplication of K162 million made sad reading.
As if that was not enough, K8 million meant for university education was channelled towards motor vehicles in the Ministry of Higher Education.
The Ministry of General Education was not spared either as K9 million was irregularly paid to over 1,800 officers who were working from stations, which did not qualify for the payments in rural and remote hardship allowances.
What does the law say about this? I think people doing this should be punished by the law.
