ROAD Development Agency (RDA) board vice-chairperson Phidelia Mwaba has appealed to Zambians to take care of the infrastructure that Government is building countrywide.
Ms Mwaba said roads that Government has built at great cost belong to ordinary Zambians using taxpayers’ money.
“These are not government roads. They are Zambian people’s roads. So please take good care of them. Yes, some money came from abroad, but it still remains taxpayers’ money,” Ms Mwaba said.
He said this on Tuesday when she led a delegation of RDA officials during a visit to Mwami border to see how the Great East Road has eased business between Zambia and Malawi.
She said RDA is proud of the ongoing works on the Great East Road, which connects the country to the outside world.
