‘Prime TV may apply for renewal’

PRIME Television should apply for renewal of its broadcasting licence and wait for a response from the relevant authority, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga has advised.
Mr Malupenga said Prime TV’s licence was cancelled because it had expired, hence the need for management at the private broadcasting station to follow the right procedure for renewal.
He said this on Sunday evening when he featured on a discussion programme on Diamond Television, as part of the commemoration of the World Press Freedom Day.
