Presidency is thankless job – Lungu

LUNGU

NANCY SIAME, Lusaka and MWILA NTAMBI, Ndola
PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu says the presidency is a thankless job which is never short of critics such that one can easily be distracted from performing duties.
The head of State told journalists shortly before departure to Ndola yesterday that he will not be distracted by his critics but will remain focused on fulfilling his promises to the people.
“I was reflecting last night and what came to my mind was that this is a thankless job. When former President Kenneth Kaunda was in charge of the country, everyone said he was a bad man.
“But after he left, everyone started praising him, the same happened to presidents Chiluba, Mwanawasa, Rupiah Banda and Michael Sata. When you are in charge of a country, no-one will agree with you entirely,” he said.http://epaper.daily-mail.co.zm/
