Political fraternity mourns Mangango MP

A CROSS section of people have described United Party for National Development (UPND) Mangango Member of Parliament, Naluwa Mweene, who died in a road accident on Tuesday, as a humble lawmaker whose contribution to national development will be greatly missed.
Mr Mweene, 44, who was elected Mangango MP in 2016, died in a road accident after a tyre burst at Itezhi-Tezhi turn-off on the Mongu-Lusaka road, as he was driving to his constituency.
Four passengers who were in the vehicle with him sustained injuries, and were rushed to Mumbwa District Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
UPND secretary general Steven Katuka said Mr Mweene was one of the dependable MPs the opposition party had.
