One Zambia, one nation

YOUTHFUL LIVING with PASTOR MOYO M
GOD’S plan for humanity and nature is wider than what we can ever understand, hence we must continuously grow in faith, knowledge, values, understanding and obedience to God.
This growth, in the stated aspects, should result into growth in respect and love of what God cherishes.
The motto, ‘One Zambia, one nation’ is founded on the principle that brings down the tribal and political borderlines so that we embrace, respect and love each other as people of one nation called Zambia.
It emphasises that we are God’s adorable creation before we define ourselves by ethnicity, political or any other affiliation.
Because God’s plan for humanity is wider than we can ever understand, it is, therefore, important that we continue to learn from God at all times to avoid stagnation.
In the process of learning from God, certain traditionally upheld elements of beliefs and practices are overtaken by events as God’s unlimited plan unfolds. We grow up with belief system that freezes our ability to accept God’s work as he is fulfilling his all-encompassing salvation plan.
‘One Zambia, one nation’ should consider God’s indiscriminately view of humanity as a uniting factor. The temptation during campaigns is that we view each other in terms of political inclinations and affiliations and not one creation.
Let us not hold our preferences, localities, likes and dislikes higher than above the all-embracing love of God. We are one creation, created and loved by one creator – God.
Galatians 3:26-29 says: “…In Christ Jesus, you are all sons of God, through faith. For as many of you as were baptised into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Zambia as a Christian nation must understand that Christ unites people from various backgrounds and gender. Let peace reign before, during and after elections. We are ‘One Zambia, one nation’.
